Frequently Asked Questions
How can I schedule my pet?
Please email me at megsgroomroomva@gmail.com or TEXT (571)-535-6384. I do not have a booking link. All appointment dates and times are logged into my schedule manually and will also be sent to you. I will send a text appointment reminder to your cell phone the day before.
Are you a walk-in salon?
No, all appointments must be scheduled and confirmed prior to arriving.
What type of animals do you groom?
I accept dogs, cats, rabbits, guinea pigs and ferrets.
Is there a pricing sheet?
For the most exact price estimate, please email or text me a few current photos of your pet, followed by their weight, desired service and when they were last professionally groomed.
Can new clients schedule?
Yes! My books are open to both current and new clients. It is highly recommended to pre-schedule your pet by at least 2 appointments as I do book out 2-3 months in advance.
What forms of payment do you accept?
I accept cash, Venmo and Zelle. I do not take credit cards, checks, Cash-app or other apps.
How long will my pet be there for?
I am not a high volume shop, I work in a one-on-one environment. I believe in working with animals in a relaxed setting where things are done with positive reinforcement, not done by force. I do not rush or cut corners to complete a groom. Most pets take me no more than 1 to 2 hours to complete. You will receive a 20-minute text or call prior to your pet being complete and ready for pickup.
What shots does my pet need in order to be groomed?
Rabies (required by law for dogs 4 months and older). Distemper, Bordetella and Canine Influenza Virus immunizations are highly encouraged. If your dog is showing symptoms of having kennel cough, they will be sent home and rescheduled. Please do not bring your pet to their appointment if they are feeling ill in any way.
Rabies vaccine is required if your cat is indoor/ outdoors.
Rabies vaccine is required for ferrets.
Rabbits and Guinea Pigs do not require vaccines.
What type of pets will you not groom?
I do not accept aggressive pets that bite, females that are pregnant or in heat, injured pets, pets that have had recent surgery or are still recovering, pets with a current or active illness, pets that have an active flea, tick or parasitic infestation, cats that are FeLV positive.
